Erin Hamlin

Erin Hamlin is a trailblazer in the sport of luge, celebrated as the first American to win an Olympic medal in the singles discipline and the first woman to secure a podium finish for Team USA in luge. Over her 19-year career, she earned a bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics, carried the U.S. flag at the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, and amassed 23 World Cup medals, two World Championship titles, and two silver World Championship medals.

A dedicated athlete, Erin also made history in 2009 by claiming the World Championship title, disrupting a decades-long dominance by the Germans. Following her retirement, she transitioned into the business world through the Athlete Program at EY, interning with the learning team followed by a fulltime role as a Learning Project Specialist in the Design Studio. She has served as an expert analyst for NBC’s luge broadcasts, including the 2022 Beijing and 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. Erin remains active in sports governance, having held representative roles for USA Luge, sitting on the board of the Edwin J. Wadas Foundation (a local youth sports non-profit) and resides in Remsen, NY, with her husband, sons Harrison and Fletcher and their dog Remi.
